1. A drill bit, comprising:
a bit body having a first end region and a second end region, a longitudinal axis extending through the first end region and the second end region, the bit body comprising a head at the first end region, the second end region comprising a coupling portion for attaching to an element configured to drive the drill bit;
a plurality of inserts each having a convex engagement surface and including tungsten, the plurality of inserts being secured to the first end region of the bit body; and
at least one elongated wear insert coupled to the bit body at an end surface of the coupling portion of the second end region.
