1. Spinel ferrite nanoparticles, comprising at least one chromium-substituted copper ferrite selected from the group consisting of CuCr0.4Fe1.6O4, CuCr0.6Fe1.4O4, CuCr0.8Fe1.2O4, and CuCrFeO4.
