1. A biaxially oriented, multilayer film comprising:
a core layer consisting of one or more linear, low-density polyethylene(s), a slip agent, and, optionally, pigment;
a surface skin layer consisting of one or more linear, low-density polyethylene(s), an antiblock agent, and, optionally, a pigmenting agent;
a sealant skin layer consisting of linear, low-density polyethylene(s), an anti-block agent, wherein concentration of the antiblock agent in the sealant skin layer is higher than in the surface skin layer, optionally, a pigmenting agent, and, optionally, a slip agent;
a first tie layer between the surface skin layer and the core layer, wherein the first tie layer consists of one or more linear, low-density polyethylene(s) optionally in combination with pigmenting additive, wherein the pigmenting additive is optionally in a masterbatch solution, and, optionally, a slip agent; and
a second tie layer between the sealant skin layer and the core layer, wherein the second tie layer consists of linear, low-density polyethylene(s) optionally in combination with: (i) a pigmenting additive, wherein the pigmenting additive is optionally in a masterbatch solution; and/or (ii) a slip agent,
wherein the one or more linear, low-density polyethylene(s) have lower melt indices and greater densities than the linear, low-density polyethylene(s),
wherein the biaxially oriented, multilayer film has a seal strength of at least 4000 g/in from 90° C. through 150° C. against a polyethylene laminate with jaws set to exert a pressure of 41 N/cm2 for a dwell time of 0.75 sec.
