1. A method of operating an infrastructure equipment, the method comprising:
providing a wireless access interface for communication between the infrastructure equipment and a plurality of communications devices;
allocating a portion of radio resources of the wireless access interface as a search space for a communications device of the plurality of communications devices to search for a wake-up signal transmitted by the infrastructure equipment, the wake-up signal providing an indication to one or more communications devices of the plurality of communications devices to receive a paging message in one or more of a plurality of temporally spaced paging occasions; and
transmitting, prior to an occasion of the radio resources as the search space, a candidate indicator message to the one or more communications devices, the candidate indicator message indicating one or more repetition levels of the wake-up signal by which the wake-up signal may be transmitted, wherein
a plurality of candidate radio resources in the search space are searchable, to detect the wake-up signal, by the one or more communications devices,
the candidate indicator message indicates a plurality of values, each value of the plurality of values corresponding to a different subset of candidate radio resources of the plurality of candidate radio resources selected for repeated transmission of the wake-up signal,
the one or more repetition levels are of a plurality of repetition levels,
each repetition level of the plurality of repetition levels defines a number of times N which the wake-up signal can be transmitted, the number N being an integer including one to a maximum number Nmax, and
a number of repetitions of the plurality of repetition levels is periodically set to be the maximum number Nmax.
