14. A method for receiving a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) within an operating bandwidth in a wireless local area network, the method comprising:
receiving a first part of a PPDU, the first part having a first subcarrier spacing; and
receiving a second part of the PPDU, the second part having a second subcarrier spacing,
wherein the first subcarrier spacing is four times greater than the second subcarrier spacing,
wherein the first part comprises a first short training field (STF), a second long training field (LTF), a first signal (SIG) field, and a second SIG field, the first STF being a legacy-STF (L-STF), the second STF being a legacy-LTF (L-LTF), the first SIG field being a legacy-SIG (L-SIG) field,
wherein the second part comprises a second STF, a second LTF and a data field,
wherein the second LTF includes a plurality of 26-tone LTF sequences including a plurality of 26-tone base sequences multiplied by +1 or −1,
wherein the operating bandwidth is divided into a plurality of sub-channels for transmission of the data field, and
wherein each of the plurality of sub-channels of the data field is associated with a respective one of the plurality of 26-tone LTF sequences.
