1. A method performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
receiving, from a base station, a message for a logged measurement configuration;
receiving, from the base station, a radio resource control (RRC) release message including configuration information for a measurement to be used while in RRC_idle state or RRC_inactive state; and
performing a logged measurement based on the message for the logged measurement configuration while in the RRC idle state or the RRC inactive state,
wherein the logged measurement is performed for at least one frequency indicated by the configuration information for the measurement based on information included in the message for the logged measurement configuration.
