1. A method for mapping Internet Protocol (IP) addresses to an entity, the method comprising:
determining, by one or more processors operating in a network, one or more variations of at least one domain name;
identifying, by the one or more processors, one or more IP addresses pointed to by the one or more variations of at least one domain name; and
assigning, by the one or more processors:
a first weight to an IP address of the identified one or more IP addresses pointed to by a first number of the one or more variations of at least one domain name, and a second weight to an IP address of the identified one or more IP addresses pointed to by a second number of the one or more variations of at least one domain name;
where the first weight is greater than the second weight, and
where the first number is greater than the second number.
