1. An apparatus comprising:
a mobile device configured to communicate with a photovoltaic (PV) system, wherein the mobile device comprises:
at least one processor; and
memory storing processor instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the mobile device to:
establish a data connection, via a first interface, with a direct current to alternating current (DC-to-AC) converter of the PV system;
display, via a second interface, information associated with the PV system;
based on the displayed information, send, to the DC-to-AC converter via the first interface, an update; and
cause the DC-to-AC converter to send the update to at least one remote DC-to-DC power converter via the first interface using a power line communication (PLC) link between the DC-to-AC converter and the at least one remote DC-to-DC power converter, wherein the at least one remote DC-to-DC power converter is located remotely to the mobile device.
