1. A computing system, comprising:
at least one processor; and
computer storage memory having computer-executable instructions stored thereon which, when executed by the at least one processor, cause operations to be performed, the operations comprising:
capturing an input in a form of a body gesture;
comparing the body gesture to a set of previously identified body gestures;
based, at least in part, on the comparison, determining a link between the body gesture and a semantic descriptor, wherein the semantic descriptor is associated with a computer-executable function, wherein one or more other input modalities are linked to the semantic descriptor such that different input modalities are each assigned to the computer-executable function; and
causing a performance of the computer-executable function.
