1. An adjustable frame assembly for augmented reality eyewear, the frame assembly comprising:
A. a face portion supporting a first lens and a second lens, the face portion defining at least one passage in the face portion that has a longitudinal axis, a midsection, and a radially relieved section at the midsection, the face portion further comprising at least one aperture on an exterior of the face portion that connects with the radially relieved section;
B. a support rest for supporting the face portion on a user; and
C. at least one coupling for adjusting the position of at least one of the first lens and the second lens relative to the support rest, the at least one coupling comprising:
i. a dial comprising a ring-shaped body, the ring-shaped body embedded in the face portion and captively held in the radially relieved section the dial projecting through the at least one aperture so that the ring-shaped body is exposed on the exterior of the face portion, the ring-shaped body defining a bore hole inside the ring-shaped body, the bore hole being axially aligned with the longitudinal axis of the at least one passage, the bore hole comprising an internal thread; and
ii. a threaded post separate from the dial and axially displaceable through the bore hole of the ring-shaped body, the threaded post comprising an external thread mated with the internal thread in the bore hole,
the dial rotatable relative to the face portion in response to a force applied directly to the ring-shaped body through the at least one aperture, the dial being rotatable about the threaded post and the longitudinal axis of the at least one passage to move said at least one of the first lens and the second lens relative to the support rest,
the dial captively held in the radially relieved section such that the dial remains axially fixed relative to the at least one longitudinal axis when the dial is rotated.
