1. A passenger seat comprising:
at least one seat component;
at least one additive manufactured component comprising an outer surface and a lattice structure having a first zone and a second zone;
wherein the at least one additive manufactured component is arranged in a head impact region on a rear side of the passenger seat and designed to minimize energy transferred to a passenger's head during impact in a rapid deceleration event;
wherein the first zone is arranged adjacent to the outer surface and second zone is arranged behind the first zone;
wherein, during impact in the rapid deceleration event, the first zone dissipates and distributes energy from the head impact, and the second zone compresses and absorbs energy from the head impact; and
wherein the at least one additive manufactured component is attached to the at least one seat component.
