1. A method comprising:
receiving, within a source device, a selection of data;
placing the selected data in a clipboard of the source device;
transmitting to an end user destination device a pre-defined indication of the selected data's format;
determining, with the source device, that the size of the selected data in the clipboard is less than a predetermined threshold;
determining that the data should be transmitted directly to the end user destination device based at least in part on (i) the determination that the size of the data is less than the predetermined threshold, (ii) determining that the data is associated with a particular application, and (iii) determining that a user of the source device has logged into a user account on both the source device and the end user destination device; and
wirelessly transmitting, with the source device, the data directly to the end user destination device so that the data may be placed in a clipboard of the end user destination device.
