1. An agent-centric method of frictionless data authentication and transfer for a mobile device having limited battery capacity and limited bandwidth relative to a desktop computer system, the method comprising:
exposing a light receptor embedded in the mobile device to a light source controlled by a first copy of a peer application;
in response to the light receptor capturing a light signal emitted by the light source, using a second copy of the peer application running on the mobile device:
formulating an authentication token based on a validation chain stored locally on the mobile device; and
using a light emitter embedded in the mobile device, transmitting the authentication token to the first copy of the peer application to request access to a secure network;
via the light source, receiving an access authorization token generated by the first copy of the peer application; and
presenting the access authorization token to access to any node on the secure network.
