1. A data storage device, comprising:
a memory device; and
a controller coupled to the memory device, wherein the controller is a multi-port system on a host interface configured to:
determine that a mixture of data transfer over a plurality of ports is allowed, wherein the data is associated with a first port;
monitor links of the plurality of ports;
select a second port of the plurality of ports for a next transfer of the data, wherein the second port is not associated with the data; and
transfer the data over the second port.
