1. A system comprising:
a first circuit configured to receive a frequency signal from at least one frequency sensor;
an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) configured to receive at least one analog signal from at least one voltage sensor and convert the at least one analog signal into a digital data stream comprising at least one digital value to be sent to a host system;
a sensor interface coupled to the first circuit and communicatively coupled to the ADC, wherein the sensor interface is configured to determine a substitute digital data stream comprising at least one substitute frequency value associated with the frequency signal based on a number of edge occurrences of the frequency signal that occur during a sampling period, wherein the substitute digital data stream is determined responsive to a read command provided by the host system, the read command provided on an analog channel associated with a frequency input of the host system, the read command provided to the ADC; and
a second circuit coupled to the sensor interface, configured to block the digital data stream corresponding to the at least one analog signal from the at least one voltage sensor that is output from the ADC responsive to determining the read command, and configured to provide the substitute digital data stream corresponding to the frequency signal from the at least one frequency sensor the sensor interface to the host system, wherein the substitute digital data stream is provided in place of the digital data stream output from the ADC to be sent to the host system.
