1. A device comprising:
a memory configured to store a head-related transfer function; and
one or more processors configured to:
obtain, at a first audio output device, spatial audio data representing a three-dimensional (3D) sound field;
perform data exchange, between the first audio output device and a second audio output device, of exchange data based on the spatial audio data; and
apply the head-related transfer function to generate first monaural audio output at the first audio output device based on the spatial audio data.
