1. A source and detector system, the system comprising:
an input/output (I/O) device operably coupled to operate as a source and a detector of one or more analog features; and
a drive-sense circuit (DSC) operably coupled to the I/O device via a single line, wherein, when enabled, the DSC configured to:
provide a current signal, via the single line, in a first direction to the I/O device to facilitate the I/O device to operate as a source of a first analog feature of the one or more analog features and simultaneously sense, via the single line, a first effect on the current signal during the I/O device operating as the source;
provide the current signal, via the single line, in a second direction from the I/O device to facilitate the I/O device to operate as a detector of a second analog feature of one or more analog features and simultaneously sense, via the single line, a second effect on the current signal during the I/O device operating as the detector; and
generate a digital signal representative of the first effect on the current signal during the I/O device operating as the source and the second effect on the current signal during the I/O device operating as the detector.
