1. A beverage preparation system comprising:
a base configured to engage a bottom end of a container assembly, the base having steam outlet for delivering steam and air to the bottom end of the container assembly;
a steam supply unit in communication with the steam outlet;
an air supply in communication with the steam outlet;
one or more valves configured to control flow from the steam supply unit and the air supply to the steam outlet;
a user interface; and
a control system operatively connected to the user interface and the one or more valves, the control system configured to, in response to a signal from the user interface, to control an amount of air from the air supply and amount of steam from the steam supply unit delivered to container assembly through the steam outlet.
