1. A method for healing a chronic wound comprising topically administering to a patient in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of the structure as shown in the general formula I:![]() wherein A is a hydrogen atom, R or —OH;
n1 and n2 are the same or different, being an integer of 0 to 4, wherein the sum of n1 and n2 is equal to or less than 4;
n3 and n4 are the same or different, being an integer of 0 to 5, wherein the sum of n3 and n4 is equal to or less than 5;
wherein R, R1, R2, R3 or R4 is a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and
wherein the compound is a non-glycosylated flavone.
