1. An undergarment system operable to be removably worn by a wearer, said undergarment system comprising:
an undergarment including opposite front and rear waist portions and a central portion located between the front and rear waist portions, with the front and rear waist portions presenting front and rear edges, respectively,
said undergarment presenting an interior surface that generally defines an undergarment interior when the undergarment is worn; and
an absorbent flap including an absorbent flap layer and presenting an inner surface,
said flap being attached directly to a respective waist portion to at least in part define an upper fold extending above the respective waist portion, with the flap extending downwardly from the upper fold along the interior surface of the undergarment such that the absorbent flap layer is positioned within the undergarment interior and at least part of said inner surface of the flap faces the interior surface of the undergarment.
