1. A digital image inference system, comprising:
(a) a vision sensor adapted to capture an image, the vision sensor encrypting the image in compliance with a calibration key to yield an encrypted image; and
(b) an image interpreter in communication with the vision sensor, the image interpreter having access to the calibration key;
(c) wherein the image interpreter infers at least one feature in the encrypted image using the calibration key.
