1. A computer-implemented method for navigating a media file, the method comprising:
incrementing a first value corresponding to a first frame number of a target video frame of the media file by a predetermined value associated with an amount of time between two consecutive video frames in the media file to determine a second value associated with the target video frame;
converting the second value into a first time code; and
accessing the target video frame based on the first time code.
