1. A milk analyser, comprising:
a milk analysis unit, having an analysis modality configured to analyze at least a sample of milk;
an input device having an imaging device configured to image milk to generate of digital image data;
a computing device configured to execute a program code to implement a deep learning neural network classifier trained using milk images labelled with a class from a set of classes according to class characteristics which are manifest visually in the imaged milk, the computing device configured to process the digital image data using the deep learning neural network classifier to assign the imaged milk to a particular assigned class of the set of classes; and
a control signal generator configured to output a control signal based on the particular assigned class to control a supply of milk to the milk analysis unit to be analyzed.
