1. An image processing apparatus comprising:
a processor that executes instructions to:
a plurality of images;
estimate a density distribution of a target object based on at least one image, among the plurality of images;
estimate a position of the target object in each of the plurality of images based on the density distribution, by performing, for each position on each of the plurality of images, two-class classification for distinguishing whether or not the each position indicates a representative point of the target object; and
count the number of target objects moved from a first region to a second region based on the positions of the target objects in the plurality of images.
