18 Claims

1. A method of determining the presence of Alzheimer's disease in a subject, comprising:

detecting Biomarker 4 in a biological medium obtained from the subject;

determining presence of Alzheimer's Disease in the subject from the presence of Biomarker 4; and

treating the subject for Alzheimer's disease by administering a medication or treatment,

wherein Biomarker 4 has a molecular formula of C₄₃H₅₆O₃⁺ or C₄₇H₅₆and has a mass-to-charge ratio (m/z) of 620.4.
