1. A computer-implemented method of assessing salvage potential for an autonomous vehicle following damage to the autonomous vehicle, comprising:
applying, by one or more processors, one or more test signals to one or more components of a plurality of components associated with autonomous operation features of the autonomous vehicle in response to an event;
detecting, at one or more processors, one or more responses from the one or more components in response to the one or more test signals;
obtaining, by one or more processors, one or more expected responses from the one or more components based upon the received information; and
determining, by one or more processors, whether each of the one or more components is salvageable based upon a comparison between the detected responses and the expected responses.
