1. A method for treating a gastric ulcer in an animal in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the animal a therapeutically effective amount of a composition comprising dried elm powder (Ulmus rubra) and a biopolymer selected from the group consisting of chitosan, cellulose, collagen, and alginate.
