1. A method for treating kerogen in a subterranean zone, the method comprising:
placing a composition in the subterranean zone, the composition comprising carbon dioxide, and
an oxidizing gas, wherein the oxidizing gas is bromine gas (Br2), and treating the kerogen in the subterranean zone with the composition.
