1. A method comprising:
receiving a data packet, the data packet including: a segment routing header (SRH) including a plurality of segment IDs (SIDs), wherein at least one SID corresponds to a centralized telemetry server, and an encapsulated packet, the encapsulated packet including an error message and a source address corresponding to a source device;
processing the error message at the centralized telemetry server;
rewriting the SRH to direct the data packet including the error message toward an ingress node associated with the source device; and
sending the data packet with the rewritten SRH toward the ingress node.
