1. A reel based tensioning device comprising:
a housing having an interior region;
a spool rotatably positioned within the interior region of the housing;
a knob operably coupled with the spool to cause the spool to rotate in a first direction within the interior region of the housing to wind a tension member about the spool and thereby tension the tension member; and
an audible component that is configured to produce an audible noise in response to operation of the knob to audibly signal an adjustment in tension of the tension member;
wherein the audible component is not configured to prevent rotation of the spool within the housing when a rotational force is imposed on the spool via the tension member or knob.
