1. An aerosol generation system for generation of an aerosol from an aerosol-forming precursor, the system comprising:
an electrically operated heating system to heat said precursor to generate the aerosol;
a flow path for transmission of flow, including the aerosol, to a user, the heating system arranged in fluid communication with the flow path; and
electrical circuitry configured to
apply a predetermined amount of electrical energy over a first time period to allow an electrical current flowing through the heating system to stabilise to obtain a stabilised current flow, and
after the first time period, measure the stabilised current flow and determine a property related to the flow of the flow path based on a measured fluctuation in the stabilised electrical current flowing through the heating system, wherein the property related to the flow is related to one of a quantity of the flow, a rate of the flow, a duration of an inhale, a start of the inhale, or an end of the inhale.

16. A method of determining the property related the flow of the aerosol generation system of claim 1, the method comprising:
applying the predetermined amount of electrical energy over the first time period; and
after the first time period, measuring the stabilised current flow and determining the property related to the flow of the flow path based on the measured fluctuation in the stabilised current flowing through the heating system.
