1. A display device comprising:
a substrate comprising a display area including pixels at which an image is displayed and a peripheral area at which the image is not displayed, the peripheral area disposed outside the display area; and
in the peripheral area:
a plurality of electrode pairs connected to the pixels in the display area, each of the plurality of electrode pairs comprising a source electrode and a drain electrode spaced apart from each other in a first direction; and
a gate line lengthwise extending in a second direction crossing the first direction, the gate line passing between the source electrode and the drain electrode of each of the plurality of electrode pairs,
wherein the gate line passing between the source electrode and the drain electrode of each of the plurality of electrode pairs comprises:
first conductive layers spaced apart from each other in the second direction, and
second conductive layers in a layer different from a layer in which the first conductive layers are arranged, the second conductive layers being spaced apart from each other along the second direction, alternately arranged with the first conductive layers along the second direction, and connecting the first conductive layers to each other.
