1. A magnetic tape system comprising:
a plurality of magnetic tape cartridges, each of the plurality of tape cartridges comprising a case in which a magnetic tape is housed and a storage medium provided in the case, wherein the storage medium is configured to store at least one of temperature/humidity allowable range related information regarding an allowable range of temperature/humidity in using the magnetic tape, preservation period upper limit related information regarding an upper limit of a preservation period of the magnetic tape, or use frequency upper limit related information regarding an upper limit of a use frequency of the magnetic tape; and
an information table stored in a storage, the information table configured to record, for each of the plurality of magnetic tape cartridges, identification data and at least one of:
temperature/humidity allowable range related information regarding an allowable range of temperature/humidity when recording on the magnetic tape, reading from the magnetic tape, or any combination thereof, during future use,
preservation period upper limit related information regarding an upper limit of a preservation period for future use of the magnetic tape, or
use frequency upper limit related information regarding an upper limit of recording on and/or reading from frequency in future of the magnetic tape,
wherein the temperature/humidity allowable range related information and the preservation period upper limit related information are defined for identification data of each of the plurality of magnetic tape cartridges,
wherein the information table is configured to be updated when a magnetic tape cartridge is newly released, and
wherein, based on identification data of a target magnetic tape cartridge, at least one of the temperature/humidity allowable range related information, the preservation period upper limit related information, or the use frequency upper limit related information, is read from the information table and is written on a storage medium of the target magnetic tape cartridge.
