1. A system comprising:
a memory device; and
a processing device, operatively coupled with the memory device, to:
in response to satisfying at least one of: an elapsed time period or error rate, performing a plurality of read operations to read data stored at a data block;
determining, by the processing device, based on the plurality of read operations, a width of a valley associated with the data block;
receiving a read request to read the data stored at the data block; and
in response to receiving a read request, performing a read operation, using the width of the valley, to read the data stored at the data block.
