17 Claims

1. A closure element (10) for securing a ball joint (12), wherein the closure element (10) comprises mutually transversely arranged first and second brackets (14, 16), wherein the first bracket (14) is configured for securing the ball joint (12) and the second bracket (16) is configured for positioning the closure element (10) during mounting of the ball joint (12), wherein the first bracket (14) has a blocking side (18) and a bracket side (20), wherein the blocking side (18) includes a fastening slot (22) for fixing the closure element (10) and the bracket side (20) includes the second bracket (16), wherein the fastening slot (22) is a through-opening extending through the blocking side (18).
