1. A multi-frequency transducer array, comprising:
a plurality of piezoelectric elements, a piezoelectric element of the plurality formed from at least two sub-elements in face-sharing contact, the at least two sub-elements having different resonance frequencies, and wherein a distribution of the at least two sub-elements is varied along at least one of an azimuth and an elevation direction.
