1. A fall arresting device, comprising:
a housing, wherein the housing is slidably attached to a guide member; and
a braking lever, wherein the braking lever comprises a shock absorber configured to deform during a fall instance;
a secondary braking feature configured independent from the braking lever, wherein the secondary braking feature is an inertial structure configured to rotate into engagement with the guide member during the fall instance.
