1. A discharge apparatus for fluids comprising a microstructured component comprising a surface modification obtained by contacting the surface of the microstructured component with a modification reagent, thereby modifying the properties of the surface by the chemical and/or physical interaction between the microstructured component surface and the modification reagent;
wherein the modification reagent comprises at least one modifier, wherein the modifier is a silane of the general formula (III):
R4-nSiXn
wherein
R is C10-C16 alkyl,
X is selected from C1 alkoxy and C2 alkoxy, and
n is 3; and
wherein the at least one modifier is at a concentration of from 0.001 to 2 mol/L based on the modification reagent.
