1. An electric walk behind greens mower, comprising:
a key switch having an off position, a run position and a start position;
a battery pack that provides a wake-up signal if the key switch is turned from the off position to the run position;
a battery management system responsive to the wake-up signal to enable a DC-DC converter for the battery pack to supply a low voltage to power on an electronic control unit;
the electronic control unit detecting if the key switch is turned momentarily from the run position to the start position, and if it is so detected, sending a command for the battery pack to supply a high voltage to power a reel motor controller and a traction motor controller.
