1. A method to produce transgenic maize lines expressing a synthetic AGM182 peptide, the method comprising the steps of:
producing a transgenic maize line through an agrobacterium mediated transformation of the AGM182 gene into immature maize embryos, wherein the AGM182 gene comprises a 129 bp nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:3.
