1. A remotely manipulable variable pressure clamp for use in laparoscopic and endoscopic surgeries, the clamp having a proximal handle portion and a distal gripping portion, the clamp comprising:
(a) a longitudinal tubular casing extending from the proximal handle portion to the distal gripping portion;
(b) a pressure bar slidingly positioned within and extending the length of the tubular casing;
(c) a first finger grip button flange fixed to the tubular casing at a point distally offset from a proximal end of the tubular casing;
(d) a second finger grip button flange fixed to a proximal end of the pressure bar;
(e) an adjustable compression assembly positioned and operable within the handle portion of the clamp, the adjustable compression assembly comprising:
(i) an operative spring positioned coaxially around the tubular casing and the pressure bar and between the first and second finger grip button flanges, the operative spring preferencing the button flanges apart, thereby preferencing the pressure bar to extend proximally from the tubular casing; and
(ii) a clamp compression spring positioned coaxially around a proximal end of the pressure bar and between the second finger grip button flange and a proximal end face of the tubular casing; and
(f) a clamp body forming the distal gripping portion of the clamp, the clamp body comprising a movable jaw assembly.
