1. A method comprising:
receiving, from sources within a cloud service and at a dynamic proxy agent, traffic that is directed to application containers that are hosted externally from the cloud service;
performing a traffic analysis of the traffic by determining traffic patterns between the sources and the application containers;
generating a dynamic proxy mapping between the sources and the application containers;
receiving, at the dynamic proxy agent, a traffic flow from a source that is destined to an application container, wherein the traffic flow has a source address associated with the source;
replacing the source address in the traffic flow with an abstraction; and
causing at least one of delivering the traffic flow to the application container or preventing delivery of the traffic flow to the application container.
