6 Claims

1. A method for alleviating and treating muscle loss and weight loss in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising

administering to the subject an effective amount of a composition comprising an active ingredient that alleviates and treats muscle loss and weight loss, wherein the active ingredient that alleviates and treats muscle loss and weight loss consists of Paeoniae radix extract,

wherein administering the effective amount of the composition to the subject prevents, alleviates and treats muscle loss and weight loss in the subject relative to a subject that has not been administered the composition.
