1. A lubricant composition comprising:
a base oil of lubricating viscosity, and
an ashless TBN lubricant oil additive

wherein R1 is a C5 to C12 alkyl moiety, and R2, R3, R4 and R5 are each independently hydrogen or a straight or branched chain C1 to C5 alkyl groups.
