1. A grout composition for filling a tunnel annulus comprising:
a. a slurry of fluidized bed combustion ash; and
b. an aqueous alkali metal silicate,
wherein the ratio of aqueous alkali material metal silicate to fluidized bed combustion ash is in the range of 0.2 to 0.55.
