1. A lighting system, comprising:
a controller configured to generate a plurality of driving control signals; and
a light source comprising a plurality of light emitting diode elements in an array configured to receive the plurality of driving control signals and emit light based on the driving control signal, wherein the plurality of driving control signals comprise a driving control signal for each light emitting diode element in the array such that each of the light emitting diode elements can be independently controlled,
wherein intensity of the light emitted from each light emitting diode element in the array of the light source ramps up and ramps down repeatedly with a first period based on the driving control signal for each light emitting diode.
