1. A battery management system (BMS) comprising:
a charging controller, configured to charge a battery; and
a charging monitor configured to:
detect an initiation of a charging cycle of the battery,
determine whether a current capacity of the battery is greater than a predetermined threshold percentage of an original rated capacity of the battery in response to a detection of the initiation of the charging cycle of the battery,
control the charging controller to charge the battery with a first voltage in response to the current capacity of the battery being determined to be greater than the predetermined threshold percentage of the original rated capacity of the battery, and
charge the charging controller to charge the battery with a second voltage in response to the current capacity of the battery being determined to be less than or equal to the predetermined threshold percentage of the original rated capacity of the battery,
wherein the charging contoller is configured to generate an updated value by adding a predetermined value to a first value of the first voltage, in response to the current capaticy of the battery being determined to be less than or equal to the predetermined threshold percentage of the original rated capacity of the battery.
