1. A display device, comprising:
a display panel comprising a plurality of pixels, the pixels being configured to operate in response to a first driving voltage, a second driving voltage, and a data signal;
a display panel driver to drive the display panel, the display panel driver including a gate driver that provides a gate signal to the display panel, a data driver that provides the data signal to the display panel, and a timing controller that receives a vertical synchronization signal, a horizontal synchronization signal, and a data enable signal from an external graphic controller to control the gate driver and the data driver;
a voltage converter to provide the first driving voltage to the display panel through a first wiring and the second driving voltage to the display panel through a second wiring, the voltage converter is to selectively start an output of the second driving voltage after a detection period which is after an output of the first driving voltage; and
a detector configured to control the output of the first and second driving voltages of the voltage converter based on a magnitude of a wiring voltage corresponding to voltage on the second wiring.
