1. A method for inducing an immune response in a subject comprising the steps of:
(i) providing a polypeptide comprising
(a) a silk polypeptide,
(b) an antigen, and
(c) an enzymatically cleavable linker,
wherein the antigen is connected to the silk polypeptide via the enzymatically cleavable linker, and
(ii) administering the polypeptide provided in (i) to a subject in need thereof.
