1. A method for recovering a vessel to at least one marine platform, said vessel having at least one engagement device, comprising steps of:
a) providing a capturing mechanism connectable to the at least one marine platform, wherein the capturing mechanism comprises a tensioned capturing line connected to two movable connection elements, wherein the movable connection elements are horizontally and vertically movable;
b) making a contact with a keel of the vessel by placing the tensioned capturing line under a surface of water in a depth greater than a maximal depth of the keel of the vessel;
c) raising the tensioned capturing line from a position under the surface of water upwards, to a position substantially out of the water;
d) sweeping the tensioned capturing line along a substantial portion of a hull of the vessel in a direction of the at least one engagement device until the tensioned capturing line is engaged with the at least one engagement device;
e) hauling of the vessel onto the at least one marine platform; and
f) releasing the vessel from the at least one marine platform.
